It's been a while since I've written in my blog and shared with you what I've been learning. Don't fret, The Real Estate Newbie is still at it and still learning. On one of my trips this summer, I taped our second Investing Show in Austin, TX and am finally getting around to editing together. I'll have that up for you this month in August. The wait will be well worth it!
A few house cleaning items, I'll be moving platforms soon and I think that might affect some of the ways you are used to receiving the audio, text, video content from this site. Now, what am I up to? Well, I wrote before how I've decided to become a note broker and that's exactly where I've been. I'm learning directly from the master himself - Jeff Armstrong and he's personally guiding me through my first deals. Jeff and I are also working on helping other note brokers (newbie or not) learn the ropes of the note brokering business while exponentially increasing their profits. He teaches and I am helping with the marketing and event coordination. We're putting on the first-ever East Coast Course of Secrets of Paper 201 in Atlanta, GA in September 18th -20th! I just returned home from being three weeks off with family and then to my husband's Coaching Convention. This is the first summer that we're not moving, having a baby, or I have to work in an office confining me to the city we live in. We traveled 5 out of the 8 weeks my husband had off this summer and it was amazing! That's only one of the benefits of working within real estate investing. As a coach's wife, my husband's career takes us from city to city in an effort to move up or because of staff changes. A lifestyle like this would discourage any real estate investor who only thinks "Real Estate is local" but through the internet and the ability to network nationwide, it's easy to invest in different markets no matter where you are.
 Internet Marketing is the new classifieds ads for real estate investors. With a strong online presence you are able to come into contact with other real estate professionals and customers that you would not have had access to before. So what are the keys to building your presence online? Here are few simple steps to start getting that right search engine ranking. Your website showing up on the front page of a Google.com or Yahoo.com when a buyer is searching for a home or a looking for a real estate deal is key. There are few ways to do this..
Implement the right website platform. Better platforms that robots love to search are blogging platforms such as wordpress, joomla, and other programmable sites. I usually create these for my marketing clients and have built these for myself including TheRealEstateNewbie.com. Most of these sites are easy to manage and have a backend that the end user can use.
